Booking
Because every trip with Elysium Expeditions is fully customized, we take a personalized approach to booking as well. From your first conversation with Lydia and Dustin to your final itinerary, every detail is shaped around your group’s interests and needs.

Why these rates?
Alaska isn’t a budget destination, and for good reason — this place is vast, wild, and remote. Our rates reflect the reality of exploring it thoughtfully and comfortably.
Your Elysium expedition includes everything: private lodging, fuel, a personal chef crafting fresh, home-cooked meals (often featuring crab, salmon, or fish you reeled in yourself), and the freedom to move with the tides and the wildlife.
Each trip is customized for your group — your pace, your interests, your adventure. You’ll have access to premium gear, our fishing tender F/V Zephyr, and the quiet luxury of having the whole boat to yourselves (minus the crew of course).
When you consider the cost of an Airbnb, dining out, guided excursions, and transportation — or even the price of a cruise ship cabin where you share a buffet with thousands — the value becomes clear. What we offer is a private, all-inclusive way to experience Southeast Alaska up close, with care and admiration for the land and the life it holds.
It’s not just a trip — it’s time spent in the wild heart of Alaska, where every moment reminds you what it means to feel alive.

Each evening, return to Elysium—your floating home base—for a hot meal, a cozy bed, and a good night’s rest before the next day’s adventure.

Charter fishing with a pro
If you want to really hit the fish hard and have a shot at bringing home halibut, lingcod, or a freezer box full of salmon, we will partner you with one of Sitka’s top charter operations. They’ll take you out for a full day on the water, then bring you back to Elysium for dinner, stories, and maybe a little bragging.
You can always drop a line aboard Elysium, but if you’re after halibut and bragging rights, spend a day with the pros who’ve been guiding fishing charters in these waters for years.

Words From Our Guests
“We booked a 5-day family trip with Elysium Expeditions, and it was exactly the kind of Alaska experience we were hoping for. Unlike the brief stops you get on a large cruise ship, this was an opportunity to actually live it. If you want your family to truly experience Alaska, this is the way to do it. Spending an afternoon in port on a commercial cruise doesn’t compare to five days on the water, fishing, hiking, kayaking, and seeing wildlife together. This is the real thing, and we’ll remember it for a long time.”
— Derrick W. Las Vegas, NV
“We had the incredible joy of setting sail on the Elysium this summer, and it was truly unforgettable. From the moment we stepped aboard, we were wrapped in warmth and kindness by our hosts - Dustin, Lydia, and their two wonderful children.
The food was absolutely delicious, the laughter was nonstop, and the memories we made will stay with us forever. And the views—oh my goodness—the views were breathtaking.”
— Alexis A. Jacksonville, OR
“Staying on Elysium with the Hacks as our host was one of the best experiences that we have had as a family. We brought our 3 children and felt at home as we explored what makes Sitka one of the most beautiful places on earth. I highly recommend booking with them. The beds were super comfortable, the home cooked meals EXCEPTIONAL and the vibes family friendly and so fun! We saw whales, bears, sea lions. All from our boat! So amazing.”
— Sarah D. Driggs, ID
