Sample Itinerary

  • Your journey begins in Sitka’s Eliason Harbor, where you’re greeted by the Elysium crew and Sitka Wild Coast Kayak guide Michael. Kayaks already loaded and ready. As we cruise toward the first anchorage, you’ll enjoy lunch on deck, watch for whales, and review charts with Michael. Dustin provides a vessel safety orientation, and Michael leads a kayaking briefing before launching your first paddle along remote shorelines. Afterward, return to the yacht for hot showers, appetizers, and a chef-prepared dinner.

  • Each morning begins with a hearty breakfast, coffee, and a route briefing. Michael selects paddle routes that balance weather, tides, and group preferences, offering chances for wildlife encounters and coastal exploration. Picnic lunches, packed by the Elysium crew, are enjoyed on secluded beaches or beneath the forest canopy.

By mid-afternoon, the group reunites with the Elysium at a new anchorage. The crew helps with kayaks and gear, gear is hung to dry, and guests settle in with warm drinks before another restorative evening onboard.

  • As our journey draws to a close, we set course back to Sitka. Guided by Dustin, Lydia, and the crew, the Elysium makes her way toward Eliason Harbor. On the return, we savor favorite memories, keep watch for passing wildlife, and take a moment to reflect on what it’s like to have been part of Alaska’s wild and hidden beauty, if only for a little while.
