The Crew

Husband & wife team Dustin and Lydia Hack, alongside their 12 year old twin daughters will be your guides on everything Southeast Alaska has to offer.

Dustin is a USCG-licensed OUPV (Six-Pack) Captain with more than a decade of experience navigating Southeast Alaska’s waters. His background in commercial fishing, logging, hotshot firefighting, and construction has kept him working outdoors and in some of Alaska’s most rugged places. He brings a lifetime of hands-on experience, a steady approach on the water, and a genuine love for sharing Southeast Alaska with others.

Lydia moved to Alaska in her early 20s and fell in love with Sitka’s way of life. Aboard Elysium, she handles hospitality and the galley, serving home-cooked meals, fresh bread, and plenty of local seafood. She loves sharing her kitchen tricks and might even send you home with a recipe or two. When she’s not aboard Elysium, she runs her own private therapy practice.

Their daughters, born in Sitka, have an endless curiosity for fishing, exploring the intertidal zone, and eating their weight in fresh salmon. They love meeting new friends, showing kids how to tie knots, and sharing their excitement for all that Alaska embodies.

Dustin and Lydia are CPR & First Aid Certified, and the entire crew has completed Cold Water Survival training through SEA-Guide Services/SABER maritime education courses.
