The Crew

Husband & wife team Dustin and Lydia Hack, alongside their 12 year old twin daughters will be your guides on everything Southeast Alaska has to offer.

Dustin is a seasoned commercial fisherman, logger, hotshot firefighter, and construction superintendent with a deep love for Alaska's wilderness. With over a decade of experience navigating Southeast Alaska's waters, he brings skill, knowledge, adventure, and a passion for sharing the region’s breathtaking landscapes with every guest.

Lydia moved to Alaska in her early 20s and immediately fell in love with the landscape and community. She’s a licensed family therapist who also happens to run a tight and tasty ship in the galley. From freshly baked bread to hearty meals made with fresh caught seafood, Lydia keeps guests well-fed with home-cooked meals that fuel adventure and bring people together around the table.

Nora and Bethie, born in Sitka, have an endless curiosity for fishing, exploring the intertidal zone, and eating their weight in fresh salmon. They love meeting new friends, showing kids how to tie knots, and sharing their excitement for all that Alaska embodies.

Our Vision

To travel slowly and with intention.
To offer comfort in wild places without losing their rawness.
To share Southeast Alaska in a way that feels personal, respectful, and real.
To create space for people to rest, explore, and experience wonder without the rush or the crowds of traditional tourism.

Elysium exists to show this coastline with care, and to help people feel the difference between seeing Alaska and truly being in it.
